What to bring to your first visit

Bringing all five usually means a decision can be reached in one visit instead of two.

  1. Previous prescriptions

    Anything you have been prescribed for this problem, however old.

  2. Reports and films

    Ultrasound, CT, MRI, endoscopy or biopsy — the films, not only the printouts.

  3. Your current medicines

    A written list, or simply bring the boxes with you.

  4. Your questions

    Write them down beforehand. It is easy to forget them in the room.

  5. A family member

    Optional, but helpful if a treatment decision may be discussed.

01 Do I need an appointment, or can I just come?

You can come and take a serial at the chamber counter, but the evening sessions fill up. Requesting a serial in advance means you are expected and usually seen sooner.

02 How is my request confirmed?

The chamber team calls the mobile number you give, usually the same day or the next working day, to confirm the date and your serial number. Nothing is confirmed until that call.

03 What does a consultation cost?

Consultation fees are set by the chamber, not by this website, and can change. Please ask when the chamber team calls to confirm your serial, so the figure you are told is the current one.

04 Can I change or cancel after requesting?

Yes. Call the chamber number on the same WhatsApp thread, or ring the chamber directly. Letting them know early frees the slot for another patient.

05 Which chamber should I choose?

Whichever is easier for you to reach. Dhanmondi sits Saturday, Monday and Wednesday, North Badda on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday. The same surgeon sees you at both.
