Privacy Policy
What this site measures, what it does not, and which third-party services are involved.
The short version
This website does not collect your personal information. There is no login, no newsletter and no advertising. Nothing you type into the appointment or message forms is sent to or stored on this website. The only thing measured is anonymous visit statistics, described below.
Those forms work by opening WhatsApp on your own device with the message already written. You then choose whether to press send. Until you do, the information stays on your device.
What this website stores
This website uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people find useful. It sets cookies in your browser to recognise a repeat visit, and records the pages you view, roughly where in the world you are, and what kind of device and browser you use. Your IP address is used to work out approximate location and is not stored by Google Analytics.
What it is not used for: it does not know who you are, it is not linked to anything you send by WhatsApp, and it is never connected to your medical records. No advertising or remarketing profiles are built from it.
If you would rather not be counted, you can install Google’s opt-out add-on (opens in a new tab), or use your browser’s private mode. Nothing on this site behaves differently if you do.
Third-party services used on this site
A small number of external services are used to make the site work. Each of these receives your IP address as a normal part of delivering content, and each has its own privacy policy:
- Google Fonts — delivers the typefaces used on the site.
- Google Maps — the chamber location maps. These load only when you scroll to them.
- YouTube — video embeds, loaded through youtube-nocookie.com and only when you press play.
- WhatsApp — used when you choose to send a message or appointment request.
- Google Analytics — anonymous visit statistics, as described above.
- Hostinger — the hosting provider, which keeps standard server logs.
Information you send by WhatsApp
When you send an appointment request or a message, that conversation takes place on WhatsApp between you and the chamber. It is subject to WhatsApp’s own privacy terms.
Please do not send medical reports, scans or other confidential documents by WhatsApp. Bring them with you to the consultation instead.
Information given at the chamber
Medical records created during a consultation at Popular Diagnostic Centre or AMZ Hospital are held by those institutions under their own policies and under the professional confidentiality obligations that apply to medical practice in Bangladesh. They are not held by this website.
Children
This site is written for a general adult audience. It does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the date below will change with it. The site deliberately collects as little as possible, so material changes should be rare.
